Pokemon Squirtle Perler Bead Sprite

It's funny.  Growing up as a kid I never cared for Squirtle much (I always went with Charmander in Red/Blue), but it's definitely grown on me over the years.  Doesn't hurt that it eventually transforms into Blastoise!

I had a bit of trouble deciding on a color palette for the front of the shell, but eventually came to this one after quite a bit of trial and error: creme, pastel yellow, cheddar, butterscotch.

The bead sprite is composed of 855 perler beads and takes about 50 minutes to make, including the time it takes to iron the perler, but that doesn't include the three or four times I messed with the colors on the shell to get the look down.  It measures approximately 7.5" wide by 7.5" tall.  A bead count is included below if you want to try to tackle the project yourself!
